Please contact the GP or the Surgery and inform them that their patient has passed away. Ask them to issue the Medical Certificate Of Cause of Death (MCCD) as soon as possible.

 

You may also wish to contact your local Funeral Director to make arrangements for the deceased to be collected and taken to a community-based mortuary

If the MCCD has already been issued the next stage of the funeral process is to register the death with the Registrar of Birth & Deaths
